Have you ever taken a cold, hard look at your manifestations, at your progress, and really was honest with yourself on why that thing hasn't manifested quite yet? You might just find that it has something to do with self-sabotage, and that's exactly what we're addressing here today how to diminish it, how to make sure it has no part on your journey towards destination manifestation. All right, welcome to another episode of Destination Manifestation. I'm your host, Brittany Hoops, or back y'all. I'm happy about it. If you're already subscribed to the show, thank you. You're an early adopter. I'm impressed. Thank you so much, and if you're here for the first time, that's okay too. Welcome aboard.
This is episode three and today, like every episode, we're going to go deep. We're going to go deep. We're going to learn how to catch yourself self-sabotaging. Dun dun dun. Do I have that? Do I have that sound effect? No, I don't think I have that sound effect. I had to create it myself. Dun dun dun.
Self-sabotage. It's a tricky little bugger how we can catch ourselves self-sabotaging in the moment while you're manifesting, so it doesn't get all out of hand and uncontrollable and get you completely derailed, right? So please, I beg you, listen to this episode. Steal my tricks for catching yourself doing that self-sabotaging behavior before you get too off track and it's too late. And all of a sudden you look back and there's a decade gone by and you're like, oops, I've been going in the wrong direction and I've been doing it to myself. Oh, that's just the twisting the knife, right when you realize that it isn't anything, even beyond your control, but it's the stuff you've been doing to you that's been keeping you from manifesting. So we're going to clear all that up today. You will save yourself buttloads of time, effort, heartache, energy if you learn the skills that I'm about to teach you now. Plus, I'm going to share my number one recommended tool for supercharging the alignment of you, the greater part of you, your brain, the universe, your thoughts, your emotions, your actions. We want them all to be in formation, as Beyonce would say, right, we want them all to be aligned towards the direction of our dreams. Because what? When we cause resistance is when our actions don't align with what we want, or our thoughts don't align with our actions, and that's what we're going to cover here in this episode. But first, did you like that? If you're a big brother fan, maybe you like that. Julie, how did I do.
What is self-sabotage? I think we all pretty much know, but let's just make sure we're all on the same page. Right, it's to get yourself off course, to get in your own way. Right Is to sabotage the self. Now, we often think of like I don't know.
When I think of the word sabotage, I think of like an old Western movie where you got this villain that has like a big mustache and he's like twirling his mustache and he's like, hahahaha, sabotage your plans. Right, it's like that in the brain, but you're doing it to yourself, which is so. It's just so unfortunate, because here it is. I mean, I'm not going to sugarcoat things for you, your manifestations, your goals, your dreams. Sometimes it can be hard, and I think we think hard means don't do it. No, hard is fine, we can do hard things, but it's hard enough what you might encounter. You know the obstacles around you. Overcoming those obstacles, that's part of the journey right Towards destination manifestation. But if you're sabotaging yourself, you're just making it harder than it needs to be at the end of the day, right, just doing actions that are slowing down your progress or setting yourself on the wrong course. So some examples could include overindulging in certain foods that you know don't support your weight loss, if that's the goal that you're looking for, or a health goal, right, procrastinating or not working on things that could really move, let's say, your business forward or a project forward.
Now, these are just examples, right, I'm sure you can think of self-sabotaging behavior that has to do with your particular manifestation or dream, and sure, those are the manifestations, right, of self-sabotage through action. Right, and it's usually after we've taken that action, we've done that self-sabotaging behavior, that we realize, oh, why did I do that? Like that didn't lead to what I wanted at all. I mean, how many times we've all been there? I think we've all experienced self-sabotage in one component or the other, right? And so how many times have you, you know, looked back and been like, oh man, I wasted that whole evening, I had an evening off and I didn't get any work done towards my goal, like, you usually regret it afterwards and you usually notice it afterwards, and so what I want us to work on here today is how can we catch it before it happens? How can we notice it's about to happen and say, uh-uh, not on my clock and change it? That's what we're going to talk about catching it quicker before you reach that after the fact point.
And so a lot of times we try to catch it before we do the action. And that's really valuable I mean to really have the impulse to want to do it and then catch it before you actually execute on that self-sabotaging action. But again, that's going to take a lot of force, a lot of willpower to not move with that momentum right, that momentum that's propelling that self-sabotaging behavior. And here's why it's actually our thoughts that set this chain reaction in motion. It's our thoughts that eventually result in self-sabotaging behavior. And so here's why Our thoughts create our emotions and our emotions fuel our action. So if we're engaging in self-sabotaging actions, then that's because there's an emotion that has caused and fueled that behavior. And so if you look even just one level deeper, there's usually a thought that's creating that emotion. That's the chain reaction thought to emotions to actions.
So, for example, let's just take an example, right, please. As I'm talking through this, I want you to think of your own manifestation. But I'll just use the manifestation, the example of a goal to lose 100 pounds. Say, that's what you want to manifest, a rock and bod, right? And so you've been going at it.
Let's say, you've been making healthier eating choices, you've been working out on most days, you've been taking care of yourself, right. But one night, one fateful night, you have a particularly difficult workout and you're dragging. You're feeling it, right. You're like, oh, this is awful, right, I feel like we've all been there. Okay, your legs feel like they're made of lead. You're feeling it. And then you go to weigh yourself and you're up on the scale. It's just like the final nail in the coffin to this awful day, right?
And so you've been doing all this hard work and this particular day you're feeling all that hard work you've been doing and yet nothing is changing. Then you know I really should get this sound effect. But you have a thought about it, right? And your thought perhaps could be I'm never going to see these changes. I do all this hard work and I still don't move the scale. I'm never going to see changes. Let's just say that that happens to be your thought in that moment. And how do you feel when you think that thought I'm never going to see changes? Maybe you feel a sense of like pity for yourself, feeling like a victim. I'm like, oh, no matter what I do, I'm never going to see changes right.
We start to like, emotionally, get into the spiral of thoughts and, whatever you do, it just doesn't feel like it's good enough. Throw in a little pity party. Okay, we've all had them, we've all experienced them. That's where you find yourself right now. And why might you be choosing to feel that way here in this moment? Well, I doubt it's a conscious decision. If it was conscious, you would recognize that that thought isn't helping support your goals. In fact, that's why coaching is so helpful, because it makes these things become conscious to us. We usually don't realize them consciously in the moment. Otherwise it'd be super easy to just be like, oh yeah, I don't want to do that and shift it right. It oftentimes they're unconscious. The thoughts and the emotions happen so rapid-fire, so quickly, that we need to engage in a process that helps slow us down so that we can dissect them, so that we can be on watch for them in the future. So it's usually not a conscious process that we're doing this.
You're feeling that pity when you think the thought I'm never going to see changes, and when you're having that pity party for yourself. What do you do next? What do you do? What actions do you take Ding, ding, ding. That's when self-sabotage starts to kick in, right? You eat all the chocolates in the bag when in actuality you kind of only plan to have one each night as a little treat, right? But the thing is, when you engage in self-sabotaging behavior, it ensures that you're never going to see those changes right. Not today, but definitely not tomorrow. That one overindulgence might erase like a whole week's worth of hard work that you've done, until you're back where you were at again. That's always like the most frustrating part. I know I'm using weight loss as like an example. The most frustrating part is like it will take you a week to lose X amount of weight and then one little blip, one little self-sabotaging behavior could like knock you back much quicker than it took to get the result.
This self-sabotaging behavior is fueled by emotions, and emotions are fueled by thoughts, and so it's all about when you're in that thin ice sort of territory, when you're sort of teetering on like am I going to do this thing that I know is not going to help me, and that's only if you're conscious of it. Slowing down, to be made aware of your thoughts is a good practice. It's usually a good practice to do anytime You're engaging with something that has to do with your particular goal or your manifestation. Right, because our thoughts not only from like a practical standpoint in terms of fueling our emotions and our actions, but our thoughts are also what sets our energetic vibration, what we attract to us. When we have positive, you know, feel good thoughts about what we want to manifest, we are bringing that thing that we want to manifest to us on a quantum level, and so our thoughts power it all. They align our frequencies to call in our manifestations.
So handle your thoughts with care. Your thoughts, they're the most important piece of this whole puzzle. Be extra aware of them, and that's the skill to develop, if there's one skill. If you ask me, brittany, what is one thing I should focus on and do for my manifestations, I would say develop the skill of becoming aware of your thoughts. It's the most important thing.
Slow down if you need to, if you know you're in the vicinity, you know, let's just go with this example, right? Because an example is easy your manifestations to lose 100 pounds. If you know you are in the vicinity of having to do anything that relates to food, having to do anything that relates to working out, having to do with anything that relates to looking in the mirror, anything that has to do with that manifestation. That should be your trigger that it is time to slow down. You need to go extra slow so you can be conscious of those thoughts surrounding that topic of your manifestation. This isn't going to feel like normal. It's not going to feel like normal everyday thinking. But you aren't creating normal everyday results. You're creating something different. Therefore, you need to think something different.
We cannot create different results by thinking the same way we always have, and I encounter that with my one-on-one clients all the time. You know. That's when we notice that we're stuck in the story of our past, when we keep regurgitating thoughts that we had in the past in our present moment and yet expecting different results. It's just not going to come. We have to develop the skill of creating new thoughts, new ideas about our future, to see different results than we've experienced in our past. Because if you keep your thoughts the same, you're just creating more of what you've already experienced. So if you notice that you're on the wrong thought train, it's kind of realizing that you took the wrong term following Google Maps right To your destination manifestation.
You guys know I use this analogy a lot, because this is what the show is right by slowing down and becoming aware of your thoughts. That's like catching that you turned right when you should have turned left only like five or ten minutes down the road. It's like a oops okay, let's turn around, let's do a Ui, let's get back on track. Right, not such a big deal, just a little blip. That's relatively easy to back trap and get back on your highlighted route, right. But if you wait too long, if you get further and further off course, taking more and more self-sabotaging behaviors right, you know how you can tell. You know how you can tell you are off course You're going to feel pretty sucky. It's not going to feel too good.
Your emotions and I think honestly this metaphor, I think Abraham Hicks I've heard Esther talk about this before that your emotions are kind of like those little bumps on the side of the road, right, the things that are supposed to wake you up if you fall asleep at the wheel. Right, to know like, hey, you're getting in dangerous territory, you're swerving off the road. That's what your emotions are like. They're telling you, hey, you're swerving off track. Listen to them.
A negative emotion always means that it's come from a negative thought, whether it was conscious to you or not. Okay, and we know, if we're having a negative thought about this thing, we are not in alignment with the receivership of that manifestation. So, of course, if you don't catch it before, then well, all of a sudden you've driven all the way to Louisiana when you should have been in New Mexico. Okay, you're going to get really off course and your actions are not going to support your desires. You're quite off course from reaching your destination manifestation, but that's okay, all right, with practice you can begin to catch yourself sooner and sooner. But I'm telling you, it truly does take practice. So what about if I don't catch it at the thought level, but I catch it right before the action? It's a valid question. It's better late than never. But let me tell you this it is going to be harder and that's why it feels very difficult and yucky to sort of recognize yikes, I'm about to eat this whole bag of chips. I know this is going to derail my progress, but I just feel like I can't stop doing it.
You know, like that internal fight, that internal resistance. Have you ever experienced that in relation to your manifestation, where it's like you know you're about to take an action that's really going to go off course, but you're like, trying to rationalize it. It's because there's so much momentum behind your original thought that create that original emotion. And now you're trying to like. It's almost like okay, we go with the road metaphor, right, it's like you realize that you missed your exit a little too late and you're going to have to go like and like, really turn that steering wheel and possibly put yourself and others in danger to get off that exit. Or it's just easier to just continue going down the route. You missed your exit and you know you'll have to take the next one.
Right, it's because there's so much forward momentum created by the thoughts and the emotions that were out of alignment first, so to sort of use and muster your willpower to make a different action and to feel really yucky, it's fighting against that tidal wave of emotion. You can do it, you can force it, you can turn the steering wheel really fast and you might be able to make it out of that exit. But that's why it feels so hard, because you're not in alignment with the emotion that you're feeling. Okay, we usually think of alignment in terms of like, oh, being aligned, positively aligned, and of course that's what we need to do to manifest. But alignment also applies to your negative emotions too, alignment in the term meaning that it lines up with.
So when you have a negative thought, you're feeling negative emotions. You want to do a negative action, like in this case, eating the whole bag of chips, but you're trying to force yourself into a positive action. That positive behavior is not aligned with your negative thought and your negative emotion. That's why it feels hard. So the easier way if you find yourself in this situation is to dig a bit deeper and recognize the thoughts and the emotions that are fueling this. So, brittany, what if I can't, for the life of me, figure out what thought is creating this emotion that I'm feeling? What if I look and I'm like I don't know the thought? This might be because the thought might not be stemming from your conscious mind, it might not be in your conscious awareness. Maybe it's a trauma response. Maybe it's something from childhood, a program, a thought, a belief you've been holding on since childhood. Maybe it's a subconscious block of some other kind.
This is why hypnosis is so useful, because when we're in a state of relaxation, through that state of trance and relaxation, we can discover what's at the crux of what has been holding you back. That's why I see a lot of my clients. They'll come to me and they'll be like I want this goal so bad, yet my actions are just not lining up with it. I just can't get myself to do the thing. They're like my heart goes out to them because they're perplexed. They're like why? Why? I know I want this thing and yet why am I not doing it? That's when we are able to use hypnosis to figure out that. Why? To figure out what are the unconscious, subconscious thoughts that are blocking them from being able to do that behavior and get in alignment with that positive behavior?
That's why I like to think of hypnosis as this sort of beautiful deep cleaning. It's a beautiful deep cleaning of the energetic pathways of alignment. It just allows us to sort of flush out and suss out any thoughts that might be blocking that energy of positive alignment between you and your dreams. There's a clogged pipe somewhere in there. Let's flush it out. That makes my job feel sound very glamorous, doesn't it? It's kind of like a cosmic plumber. That's what I am A cosmic plumber for your energy. That's the way to describe hypnosis you got a clog, I'll clean it. Well, I'll help you clean it, that's the better way to describe it. We just identify and we clear it out and we help train your brain to focus on thoughts that actually support your goals instead. Really, that's just developing habits. It's literally.
It's so funny that we don't think of our thoughts as a skill, as thinking as a skill, we think of, maybe like philosophical thinking, going to college, university and learning how to think right, but we're never taught the skill of how to think in support of our dreams, how to think in energetic alignment. And it really is a skill, it really is a habit. When you've been thinking a thought since childhood because you heard your mom say it, you heard your dad say it and you've been continuing thinking that thought, you think it's so much that it's just, it's not even a thought to anymore. It's just a fact, it's just truth. To you it isn't actually a fact or it isn't actually truth, but to you it feels like it is because you thought it so much. It's a habit, it's a habitual thought. There's been neural pathways created in your brain that makes it very effective and very efficient for your brain to just continue thinking that thought nonstop, and so we're developing the habit of thinking a new thought.
So, at the end of the day, catching yourself before you engage in self-sabotaging behavior is all about developing that skill of thinking and that skill of awareness Going down when you engage in activities that surround your manifestations. Asking yourself questions like what are my current thoughts about this manifestation, about this process, about where I'm at right now? Right, that's some good coaching to do on. What are my thoughts about this? Because that's going to drudge up where there's that clog in your pipe. When you've practiced that awareness, that focus, muscle enough, then the fun part comes in. The fun part that means that you get to reverse engineer the entire process.
You get to sit back and say, hmm, okay, so if I want this manifestation, what am I willing to do to achieve that goal? What big actions, what small actions? What am I willing to do? And what emotions will I need in my arsenal to fuel me to take those actions? And let me think about it. Let me just get in touch with future me, the version of me who has this manifestation right and she's feeling that emotion that I just identified. Those are all really valuable questions to ask. So let's just go kind of with our existing example to see how that works.
Right, if you're manifestations to lose 100 pounds, what am I willing to do to achieve that goal? Big actions, small actions. The big actions might be, for this example, following your eating plan, working out consistently, you know, taking care of yourself. The small actions might even be a special clause that says I will continue to do those big actions, even on days where I visually do not see my own progress. I know energetically, that things are still shifting, and so I stick with my plan, even during those days too. That's a small action, but it's gonna be an important action. And so what emotions would fuel you to stick with your plan, even on days where you visually see no progress, even on days when you're particularly winded from that workout? Okay, we know it's not pity, because we've already seen what pity leads to. It leads to self-sabotage, right? What emotions would fuel those actions of sticking with the plan? Here's an example fierce determination might do it.
And so then you begin to tune into your future, you future me, really. Just see her. Okay, be in that body, be in that. She's there, she's got it. She's lost 100 pounds, right, she's 100 pounds lighter. She's wearing all those cute clothes, maybe she's even running a marathon. Just be in that space where she lives, because she already exists. The universe has created her. She's on a timeline. It's just your job to get on that timeline, to diminish the resistance enough to get where she is right, to have those timelines merge. You're now in her, where she exists, to become one.
Okay, she's feeling fiercely determined, right? Because we know that that's the emotion that fuels those actions that she did. That's an emotion she practiced. She's good at fierce determination. And because all of that's true, what does she believe to be true? If she's feeling fiercely determined, what is she believing to be true? Well, maybe she believes that I got this. I got this, no matter what Things are shifting. That may not be apparent to my naked eye, but I know that they're true.
This is part of the process. She believes all of this to be true. And wouldn't you know? Those are the same thoughts that you can choose to think right now. You don't have to wait till the future to think those thoughts. In fact, you'll be creating the future by thinking those thoughts now, and those are the thoughts that will reverse, engineer the results that you want, because when you think I got this, no matter what things are shifting, even if I can't see them. This is part of the process. When you think those set of thoughts, it creates feelings of fierce determination within you which causes you to want to stick with your plan, no matter what, which results and shifts that you can see with your very own eyes, right here, right now.
Oh, so good, so fun. I love the reverse engineering process. That's why we develop the skill of awareness and the skill of thinking and focus so that we can do that. It's all about building your awareness muscles, catching these things right, making them conscious, slowing down enough so you can play and fiddle with them right, developing a love and a skill at examining and altering your thoughts, our thoughts. They're like the paintbrush right and we get to create these beautiful things with our thoughts. It's so much fun. Like this is the fun, this is the hobby of manifestation is doing these things. We create swells of emotions that propel our actions, but the thought is the first domino in that chain reaction. But we are always the one who pushes that first domino of that thought by entertaining the thought to begin with.
So if you don't wanna sabotage yourself. You need to make sure that you're not pushing a thought domino that results in actions that do not align with your dreams. That's what it all comes down to. But please hear me, all of this it's exciting, we're talking about it in kind of this big, high level way, but it all takes a lot of practice. It's okay if you slip up on these things, because it takes practice and it can sometimes be difficult to do yourself.
I mean, think about any good skill, right, you have to learn it and you have to practice it, and usually it requires a teacher of some kind. Right? You know how athletes have coaches and actors have directors. Right, sometimes it can be helpful to have that outside eye that can guide you through your own situation, your own reality, to hone in on the thinking that needs to shift so that you can get where you wanna go. It's okay, like it's okay, there's a reason why not everyone is just doing this so easily. Right, it can be hard. It's a skill that needs to be taught and developed.
Okay, I'm a hypnotherapist and coach. I'm not a plumber, like I said before. Right, and I like to think of myself sometimes as a plumber, but more so as a guide. Right, I'm the person. Let's go with our road trip analogy. Right, I'm the person who's behind the counter at the visitor's center, out in the middle of freaking, nowhere, and you're lost. You just self-sabotage. You were so off track from destination manifestation you don't know where the hell you are right, and so you realize you're all turned around. You don't even know what direction is destination manifestation, and so you come into this visitor's center and you talk to me and I point you in the right direction. That's exactly what I do with my one-on-one hypnotherapy and coaching programs. It's like having a guide on your route to destination manifestation, and I offer these one-on-one programs to help you develop all these skills we talked about here today becoming aware of your thoughts, being able to focus on thoughts that serve you, both on the conscious and subconscious level, and helping you shift your thoughts towards those that are going to help manifest your dreams. So I work with clients on one, three and six month increments so that when you notice that you've been self-sabotaging and doing this self-sabotaging behavior, when you notice usually after the fact that your actions are propelling you in the very opposite direction of your manifestations, you can get back on track again. That's what we do, that's what the programs are helping you get on track.
Because, honestly, that is the worst part. It's one thing to be doing actions that don't align with your dreams, because maybe you didn't have the knowledge or you didn't have the skills. You didn't know how to build a website, so how could you start a business? Or maybe someone else said no to you, maybe you did everything right, but you auditioned for that part and the answer was no. Or you applied for that job and the dream job and the answer was no. Right, that's one thing. But self-sabotage is the worst, because it's you. You've become your own worst enemy. You've become the reason why these things aren't manifesting for you.
But, honestly, I think it's kind of the best news because if it's you getting in your way, well, we can change that. I can help you change that. You have control over that. It might not feel like it, but you do At least. If it's you, you have control over that and through my one-on-one programs, I help you connect to that greater part of you, the big you right, the divine part of you, the creator within you, that part that can put that self-sabotaging part back in line.
So it feels like sometimes like a battle in your mind, sometimes between the part that wants this manifestation fiercely and the part of you that's doing everything in its power to stand in the way, like it can feel like this battle. I hear you Like that's perfectly normal. Let me say it is so normal. A lot of people are like, oh my God, brittany, am I crazy? And I'm like, no, it's okay, you're not broken, you just have some resistance, that's all it is. You just have some internal conflict and it's manifesting itself as self-sabotage. And so what we need to do is get all parts of your mind, both conscious and subconscious. That's why I do life coaching and hypnotherapy in one session, so we address both parts of the brain. We need to just get them both on board so that you can move in the direction. They can all move in the same direction, the same aligned direction towards destination manifestation.
So if this sounds like something that would be even remotely helpful for you I know it could be go to britney hoopscom. That's H O O P E S. I'll link to it in the show notes for more details about these hypnotherapy and coaching programs. It's really super straightforward, no catch. There's one, three or six months. I even offer a trial session if that's something you're interested in. If you're unsure about which program is going to be best suited for your particular manifestation, I actually have this really nifty quiz that I built that will help you determine what might be a good starting point from you. Of course, it's all up to you and what you feel comfortable with and what you sort of timeline you're looking on working on this manifestation and, honestly, if this just sounds even just a bit like you, please don't hesitate.
Like every second, every moment, every iota that you are misaligned from your goals, it's like you're traveling 60 miles per hour down the highway in the opposite direction. Like you're getting further and further away from the life that you are meant to live. And we are not guaranteed time, folks. Like we are not guaranteed time. I don't want to be a bummer, but we don't know how much time we have. So to be going in the wrong direction is one of the biggest waste of time that we could do in our lives.
I do believe that everything happens for a reason. I truly do. But getting in your own way is never for your own good. It's slowing down what is already inherently yours. The moment you have that the desire you ask, the universe answers, and then it's all about allowing, it's all about receiving. When you're going the opposite way and you're self-sabotaging, you're just blocking your receivership and life is much too precious to waste it. I can speak from experience on that. It is much too precious to waste Seriously.
I think about how it would have been. You know I try not to have regrets Regrets isn't really useful either. But I think about sometimes how it would have been if I would have enrolled in a program like this, like a decade sooner. You know, I would have been an entrepreneur living my dreams for a decade by now, more than a decade by now. I would be coming up on 15 years by now. If I would have done that, that would have been pretty doggone cool. But I didn't. I barreled in the wrong direction for years and years and years until I had this sort of aha, and that's why I'm so passionate about bringing it to other people. I spent many years course correcting and spinning in circles in the wrong direction. I learned a lot, don't get me wrong, but I would have learned even more had I been following my dreams. It's worth it.
Don't waste your time and, as of. Right now I have three. Oh wait, wait, sorry, let me just check something. Oh yeah, sorry, there was an email actually that came through as I was recording this. I have two more hypnotherapy and coaching spots open for next month. So this program is truly unlike anything I've really seen on the market because, like I mentioned before, it incorporates both parts of mind hypnotherapy and life coaching.
Also, often you have to decide like, well, do I want to go see a hypnotherapist or do I want to go see a life coach? Is this more conscious? This is more subconscious. That's not up to you to need to know. We do both right In every single session, and so sessions are 90 minutes long. They're conducted one-on-one. Via Zoom Plus, I give you access to a whole library of like all these goodies Resources, videos, hypnosis audios, trackers, exercises, you name it, it's in your dashboard. Plus, you get virtual coaching via the Marco Polo app for support in between sessions. So you literally have support that entire month, three months, six months, however long you sign up for you have support at your fingertips every single day and you get your very own custom hypnosis audio recording.
This tends to be the favorite part from my current clients. I literally sit down, I block out. It literally takes me two hours. I block out two hours of time. I sit down, I take all of our notes, everything you've shared with me, and I craft a hypnosis recording that can only really be listened to by you, because it wouldn't apply to anyone else. It is so specific to your situation, the thoughts are so specific to what's going to align your mind with your dreams that it's just for you. Plus, there's so much more If you want all the details. I don't have time to go through all of it, but if you want all the details, it's all there on my website, britneyhoopscom. I'll link to it in the show notes.
All of these resources, all of these support tools, they all help get your brain on board. They all help you develop those skills we talked about in awareness and shifting thoughts and slowing down all these things right. They help you become aligned to the life of your dreams, and they're all just tools that can make this process a fun and exciting one. That's what it's meant to be. On right, the fun part isn't reaching the destination. Of course that's nice, but really it's the journey. That's the fun part. They're all just tools to make this process fun and exciting, so that you can see the results even faster.
I always like to think of it this way you could walk to destination manifestation, but your feet are going to be pretty sore and it's going to be kind of cranky. Right? You could take a car, you could take a bike, or you could ride a silver bullet train or a first class jet. What journey do you want? How hard does this need to be? That's really the question. That's the power of enrolling in a one-on-one program like this.
So, again, let me leave you with this. Let's just take a moment to just kind of tune in to your manifestation. Okay, what you really want to manifest, just focus on it and just feel and experience that last time you found yourself engaging in self-sabotaging behavior and I want you in your mind's eye just to locate that memory of that time and just rewind it a little bit. Just pretend you have a remote control in your hand. You are in control. Just rewind it to the very start of that time, okay, right before that emotion you were feeling started to course through your body. That's it. Just find it right before this trigger of events happened that led to this self-sabotaging action and then just slow down. I mean really just pretend this whole moment is just on.2 speed. It's so slow. And just see, feel and hear everything. That's right, you can hear your own thoughts. It's that slow.
Be deliberate and conscious of your thinking. What is the thought that was about to create that emotion within you? And notice how that thought is starting to feel to you. Okay, if it's misaligned with what you want or if it's feeling yucky, you know what's happening next. Spoiler alert you know that self-sabotage may be next. And that's what's so interesting.
We often think that beating ourselves up or feeling bad is going to motivate us. No, it has the opposite effect Feeling bad and berating yourself. It does not move you towards your goals. It does not motivate you. And so let's just stop it in its tracks, just pretend you have that remote control and just pause that recording and let's reverse engineer it. What action do you need to do instead in order to reach your goal, and what emotion would fuel that action? And what thought could create that emotion for you here, right now, in this moment that we're visualizing? Let's just focus there, just repeating that good feeling, thought over and over and over to yourself, practicing and focusing on that thought instead. Good, and remember, remember your power to entertain and to discard thoughts.
If another thought floats on by and wants to sort of, you know, drag you towards self-sabotage, again, you get to decide what you do with it. You can just toss it on out, you can just crumble it up, you can set it on a shelf for later. I mean, really visualize yourself doing this with these thoughts. These thoughts are little blips. You can do anything with them. You get to decide where you point the flashlight of your focus. Which thoughts do you want to point your flashlight towards? Your focus? It is so freaking powerful. It's the most important tool you have. Decide where you'll point it and which thoughts you're going to leave off to the side in the darkness, never seeing the light of day, and which thoughts are going to see the light of your focus. Very, very good, all right, thank you. Destination Manifestation Travelers, again, you are incredible.
